Eli Lilly’s Erl Wood Research Centre in Windlesham, Surrey is where the company works on the development and discovery of medicines.
Medical gases was contracted to extend existing nitrogen, vacuum (both degreased copper) and hydrogen (orbitally welded stainless steel) services to a new chemistry laboratory. The new services supply fume cupboards, service booms and laboratory installations.
Tie-ins to existing services were completed during phased programmed shutdown outages, and all facilities were installed, tested and completed as per the agreed programme.
Medical Gases has since been involved in three further projects as part of a continued upgrade to the the Research Centre.
